About the film:

Andalé became a teenager just as the war turned everyday life into a living hell. She is severely traumatized after being brutally raped and her parents spend all their savings fleeing to Norway, hoping to secure a safe future for the family. Kasper grew up in a home where emotions and togetherness have taken precedence over the pursuit of material status and has always had close contact with nature. The late summer meeting and love that arises between Kasper and Andalé on the magical island becomes a highlight in their lives. When Andalé´s family is deported, she looses all her future hope.

Any society accepting exploitation of the weak in need of protection ad thereby practices double standards, loses its moral credibility and ethical standards.
